•  March 31, 2007:  We won!  The Marc Why Group won the "Best Instrumental Music" category at the 2007 Orange County Music Awards!  The Awards ceremony was held at the Grove theater in Anaheim, CA, and the night was a blast. 
   

• November 2006: The Marc Why Group was selected as one of the finalists for the EarCandy Cabs/FedEx "Battle of the Bands!"  Earcandy is one of the hottest instrument speaker-cabinet makers around, and they held a battle with several hundred entries.  The MYG was the only jazz group in the top finalists, and to informally quote one of the judges, "Your album was one of the few that we actually wanted to listen to again!"  Although we didn't win, it was great being recognized by such a great company.
   

•  More in November: The Marc Why Group has entered the MySpace world!  Yes, if you didn't know, MySpace isn't just for kids.  In fact, there's a whole "Music" world, and all the big-name musicians have pages, so now we do, too.  Come on by and drop us a line!
   

• October 14, 2006!   The Marc Why Group opened the show the Tony Levin Band, and we had a blast!  Thanks everyone for coming out to the show -- we hoped you enjoyed it, too.  Check out some pics!

• April 30, 2006: The Coachhouse Theatre, The Marc Why Group opened the show for guitar phenomenon, Larry Carlton!  Lots of fun, and we were able to debut some new material we've been rehearsing. 

• December 2005: Thank you for the support with the recent purchases through CD Baby.  We have been able to donate a few hundred dollars to the Red Cross, and the sales continue.  Thanks again!

• September 1, 2005: Our CD, "Keep Me in Mind," was accepted for distribution by CD Baby, the best distributor for independent music releases!  In a joint effort with CD Baby, 100% of our CD sale profits will be donated to the Red Cross to assist the families devastated by hurricane Katrina.  Hit the CD Baby logo to go to the order page -- and thanks for your help!
  
  
  
  

• The July 7th opening for Chuck Mangione show at The Coachhouse was fantastic -- thanks for coming out!  We had a great time performing in a big room, and it was a nice night overall.  Check out a few photos!
  

• April 2005 -- Breaking News!  We Won!!
  If you hadn't heard the national newscasts, The Marc Why Group won first place for "Best Jazz Artist" of the year at the 2005 Orange County Music Awards!  The April 2 awards ceremony was a lot of fun, and we were thrilled to hear our name announced as the winner for our category.  Thanks to all for your well-wishes before hand -- we appreciated it!
